BeeCloud Gives 512Gb of Free Backup Just Like Backify

If you are one of those who had been a victim of the Backify-Livedrive dispute you might be wondering if there are other sites that offer huge amount of free backup solutions for your files.Well, there is and they also give 512Gb free back up and storage in the cloud just like Backify.

BeeCloud uses all of Livedrive's software and their web interface for upload/downloading files, this means that as a BeeCloud user you get any and all security features of LiveDrive.They also claim to use encryption and SSL connections when transferring data.

The free account is only for personal use and does not allow for sharing files.You can create only 1 free account per email address and 1 per IP address.

The Ugly New Facebook Chat Box

It seems the Facebook people are running out of innovative ideas or they are overdoing themselves, thinking that by changing the chat interface would be cool to users. I don't want to judge them so quickly but I can't help it when one of the features in Facebook which I often used suddenly becomes suck.

In the old Facebook chat box you could see all the friends who are online but in the new chat box even those who offline are appearing in the side bar. The problem is you no longer see all the 'friends' who are online. What you now see are the list of names of those whom you have "messaged recently or most number of times conversed with", whether they are online or not, according to Facebook sources.

The new chat interface was activated last July. So, probably by now there are already thousands of Facebook users ranting; calling for the return to the old chat box. Some are even saying the move was stupid and that Facebook will be going the way of My Space if they don't wise up

.

But fret no more chat lovers! I have searched and found how you can disable the new Facebook chat box and bring back the old good chat box. All you have to do is to download and install the extension for disabling the ugly new Facebook chat.

Facebook, Google Getting Ready For The Second Internet

On June 8 several major web companies including Microsoft, Google, Facebook and Yahoo will participate in World IPv6 Day. The event sponsored by the Internet Society will test flight IPv6, an upgrade to IPv4 which is becoming to be overloaded. The purpose of the 24 hour test is to motivate other companies using the Internet to transition and adapt their services and products to the IPv6.

IPv6 stands for Internet Protocol version 6, an increment to IPv4 which is the current public communication protocol being used globally but IPv4 is now running out of address space due to the ever expanding Internet. It can be installed just like any software in order to connect to the Internet and can also work with IPv4 without any special tools or manipulations.

Lynn St. Amour, president and CEO of Internet Society stated on IPv6 Forum.com," The Internet is for everyone. IPv6 represents the next stage of the Internet's evolution".

John Chambers, chairman of the board and CEO of Cisco Systems, Inc outlines Cisco's commitment to IPv6 by listing its benefits which include:


- Simplified packet header for routing efficiency.

-Mandatory IP Security (IPSec) implementation for all IPv6 devices. -Improved support for mobile IP and mobile computing devices.

-Enhanced multicast support with increased addresses and efficient mechanisms.

There are only 6% remaining of the domain name bandwidth for web addresses (IPv4 addresses) and they are expected to be exhausted by March 2012. The advent of the second Internet, IPv6, will be the remedy because there will be no more running out of web addresses.

According to Wikipedia the current first internet (IPv4) could allocate 4,294,967,296 addresses while IPv6 can support 340 undecillion addresses. Imagine that!

Hackers could have made duplicates of the token keys out of the stolen data from RSA.


Most experts say it is virtually impossible for any company even with an up to date security solution to totally stop cyber espionage. Your kid's security on the Web must be of utmost priority. They are the most vulnerable when it comes to cyber bullying, scams, sexual offenders and other forms of abuse on the Internet. Parents should monitor, manage and administer their children's use of the computer to make sure they stay away from websites that wittingly or unwitting could pose some risks. Without proper guidelines children could easily fall victim to on line predators.

Here are 6 tips that would help protect your child from the dangers of the virtual world and ensure their safe and rewarding experience online:

1.) The first thing parents should do for their kid's online security is to position the computer in a place where they can see what their kids are doing over the Internet from time to time. They should also set a time limit for the use of the computer notably when playing online games.

2.) Learn the sites where your children most often go. See to it that the sites do not contain sexually explicit content or violent graphics and images inappropriate for their age. Check out also whether they are indulging in activities online with strangers who are out only to exploit your kids.

6.) Purchase parental-control software to keep your kids away from websites which they are not suppose to access. You can program the software in a way that restricts the children from "adult" sites but not necessarily block your own use of Internet.
